Mafia Wars, 160 People Killed
Thursday, June 17th, 2010CHILPANCINGO, Violence in Mexico linked to drug cartels are still happening. In the last six days, clashes, both among fellow drug cartels and government troops, has killed 160 people.

This week was the bloodiest week of this month in the battle against groups of drug dealers.
On Tuesday (06/15/2010) Mexican troops clashed with gunmen who expected a group of drug smugglers in a cemetery. “The battle resulted in 15 attackers were killed,” the statement from the office of National Defence.
A military unit dispatched to the city since the riots were reported there. However, they were greeted by gunfire when he arrived at a house. Soldiers fought around 40 minutes before ending the shootout.
The fighting occurred in the tourist town of Taxco and extend the list of bloody clashes that occurred during this weekend.

Cartel La Familia
The Mexican government has accused the famous La Familia cartel is responsible for another attack on Monday which makes 12 policemen were killed in a clash in the State of Michoacan.
A convoy of police were showered with bullets when they were going to Mexico City. Police said the attackers was also killed in the clash.
In another attack, a drug cartel hostage 12 police, killed, and threw their bodies into a highway which is very busy.
Mexico has been frequently rocked by a wave of violence as drug cartels are always competing to win a big wet route to smuggle drugs and narcotics into the United States.
At least 23,000 people have been killed in the country since the start of the eradication of the drug cartel in 2006.
Financial measures
The Mexican government also restricts movement of the cartel to enforce financial rules. Mexico imposed a cash transaction the most stringent U.S. dollars to prevent money laundering.
Tourists and residents of Mexico is limited to U.S. dollar maximum of 7000 dollars per month. Meanwhile, to purchase U.S. dollars with no restrictions to use pesos.
